Classic PC & Console Games in Your Browser

Many games from the late 1990s and 2000s now have browser ports, thanks to open-source engines and WebAssembly. This page gathers the classic PC and console titles TabGameHub has checked, including Quake, Half-Life, Diablo, Halo: Combat Evolved, GTA: Vice City, The Simpsons: Hit & Run and PES 6. They are not all the same kind of project. Some run on their own or offer a demo. Others are front-ends that expect you to load files from a copy you already own. We list each one with a link to the original project and a plain note on what it needs, so you know before you start a large download.

PS2 & CONSOLE RECOMP

Want PS2 games?

01

The documented status

PS2 Web Recomp is an experimental browser project. It supports a documented short list of PSP and PS2 disc games, requires WebGPU, your own disc image and a local build. The setup is more involved than clicking a link.

02

Vice City and Hit & Run

These are PC-based ports, not PS2 recomp builds. Vice City uses the PC game data. The Simpsons: Hit & Run project is separate. Skate 3 uses PS3/360 data. Halo CE Mobile uses an Xbox disc. None are PS2 recomp entries.

GOOD QUESTIONS

Classic games FAQ

Ports, recreations or fan projects?

Quake and Half-Life are open-source engine ports. Diablo Web is a preservation project. Bo1 Zombies and the MW2-style project are fan recreations. The distinction matters for file and content expectations.

Is it okay to load my own files?

TabGameHub links to the original community projects and does not host or supply game archives. Where a project asks for game files, use only files from a copy you legally own and follow the project’s own terms.

Can I play on mobile?

Most classic games have not been checked on mobile. PES 6 and Halo CE Mobile document touch support. Expect keyboard and mouse for the rest.
