What is Hood Warfare 2?

Hood Warfare 2 is a first-person shooter from Trapstar Games, released on Steam on October 8, 2026. Its fictional Chicago setting puts rival gangs into multiplayer matches with customizable weapons and objective-based modes. The developer describes the sequel as built in Unreal Engine 5.

Hood Warfare 2 platforms: PC, PS5 or Xbox?

The official Steam listing specifies Windows PC. As of our October 14 check, that listing does not establish a PS5, PS4, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Android or iOS edition. Treat console and mobile availability as unconfirmed rather than assuming a port from a video caption.

A native macOS or Linux edition is not listed in the published system requirements. Steam Deck compatibility and performance have not been verified by TabGameHub. Windows requirements alone do not prove that the game works through Proton or on a particular handheld.

Steam names four map environments: Downtown, Suburbs, The Trenches and Chicago Mall. The developer describes outdoor streets and indoor routes. The listing does not supply detailed tactical maps, spawn diagrams or a complete map-to-mode compatibility table.

For a first practice session, choose one map and learn how its routes connect before switching layouts. That is our learning suggestion, not a claim that a particular spawn, position or route is strongest.

How to start with bots before online multiplayer

The developer says you can set up a match against bots, choose a map, mode and match settings, and add bots to fill teams. Online play with friends and other players is also described on Steam.

Our suggested first session is to choose one map and a mode with a clear objective, then use a bot match to learn both. GangBang offers a simple kill objective; Turf War adds territory scoring. Move to an online match when you understand what scores points.

We have not tested the current party or invitation interface, bot difficulty options, offline operation or rewards from bot matches. The store’s mention of playing with friends does not verify a specific queue-together workflow. Check current Steam announcements and discussions if your goal is to join friends.

2. Choose one map, one mode and your match settings, then add bots to the teams.
3. Read the mode objective and practise the route between your starting position and the objective.
4. Review your loadout before changing modes or entering online play.

Weapons, attachments & progression basics

The official description names sights, magazines, grips, suppressors and other attachments as customization options. Loadouts also include perks and equipment. It says reputation levels unlock weapons and equipment, weapon challenges unlock attachments, and kills with a gun unlock its skins.

Keep those progression paths separate when deciding what to work on next. This source does not publish a complete gun roster, damage table, attachment-unlock thresholds or tested best loadout, so this guide does not rank weapons or promise a fastest unlock method.
