The daily dive started and advanced to prompt 2 of 7 without a download or a payment. Depth and score still read 0 at that point. We did not finish the dive, see a final rating or results screen, or test Unlimited, the archive, themed packs, Friends, purchases, sign-in or mobile play.

Requirements and unknowns

Device / inputThe daily dive reached its second prompt in a desktop browser on macOS. Phones, tablets and other browsers were not tested.
Original filesThe game runs on krillion.io. No download or separate game file was needed to reach the prompts.
AccountThe site has a My Krillion page and a Friends list. The creator mentions linking a Google account to carry unlocks between devices. We did not test sign-in or confirm whether it is ever required.
CostNo payment was asked for before the second daily prompt. According to the creator, any unlock removes ads across the site. Themed packs were labeled free for now (beta) when we checked. We did not audit purchases.

What is Krillion?

Krillion is a daily browser trivia game with a twist: being right is not enough. Each prompt has many valid answers, like “name an animal whose name is exactly four letters long.” Obvious answers barely count, and rare ones score big.

It works like a reverse Family Feud. Instead of guessing what most people said, you try to name the answer almost nobody else will think of. Your score is shown as depth on a dive into the ocean.

How to find the official Krillion site

Krillion grew quickly, and many sites now use the name. Some copy the game, some post answers, and some call themselves official. The original game is at krillion.io.

Its FAQ says the game is made by one person, a developer who goes by kp. The creator also warns that others have claimed to be the game’s creator. GameHub only links to krillion.io and is not connected to the creator.

One in a Krillion on Steam is a different, unrelated action game.

How to play Krillion

The rules below come from the how-to-play box on the original site. Our check covered the start of the daily dive through prompt 2.

  1. Open krillion.io. Expand “how to play” if you want to read the rules first.
  2. Select Begin Descent to start today’s dive. Everyone gets the same seven prompts.
  3. Read the prompt. A short countdown runs before the clock starts.
  4. Type one answer within 25 seconds. Rare correct answers sink you deeper; obvious ones float.
  5. Continue through all seven prompts. You get one dive per day, so there is no retry.

Krillion answer tiers and points

Every accepted answer lands in one of six tiers. The point values below are from the original game’s code and blurbs, observed on October 17, 2026. They may change.

Plankton · 10The answer everyone blurts out.
Too Clever · 15A famously “obscure” pick that everyone reaches for.
Schooler · 30Solid, but you are swimming with the school.
Rare · 60Genuinely uncommon.
Deep Cut · 85True obscurity. Few players go this deep.
One in a Krillion · 100The designated gem for that prompt.

What your daily depth means

Each point sinks you 10 metres, so the best possible day is 700 points, a 7,000-metre dive. At the end of a dive, the game rates your total. We did not reach the results screen; these bands come from the original site’s code.

Krillion modes beyond the daily dive

These are the options in the site menu. GameHub only played the daily dive, so treat the notes below as descriptions, not test results.

Daily diveSeven shared prompts, one attempt per day.
UnlimitedA separate menu entry for playing beyond the daily. We did not test its rules.
ArchivePast daily dives you can return to.
Themed packs30-prompt sets for Words & Language, Movies, Sports and Geography. Music was listed as coming soon. Packs were labeled beta and free for now.
FriendsA friends list with invites. We did not test it.

Tips for scoring deeper

These tips follow from how the tiers work. They are not a guaranteed method, and the answer lists differ for each prompt.

  1. Skip your first thought. If it came instantly, it is probably Plankton.
  2. Watch for the “Too Clever” trap. The famous obscure answer is only worth 15 points, because everyone knows it.
  3. Think in categories. For an animal prompt, move away from pets and zoo animals toward insects, deep-sea fish or regional species.
  4. Type carefully. The creator says autocorrect is generous, so a near-miss can match a different accepted answer.
  5. Keep an eye on the 25-second clock. A safe answer still scores more than no answer.

Krillion questions, answered

Answers based on the original site and the creator’s FAQ, observed on October 17, 2026.

What is the official Krillion website?krillion.io. Its FAQ names the creator as kp, says the game is made by one person rather than a team, and warns that other people have claimed to be its creator. GameHub is independent and simply links out to it.
How do you play Krillion?Every day there are seven prompts, the same for every player, and 25 seconds to name one answer to each. Correct answers that few people think of score more and sink you deeper. You get one dive per day.
How does Krillion scoring work? Each answer falls into a tier, from Plankton (10 points) up to One in a Krillion (100 points). Each point sinks you 10 metres. The best possible day is 700 points, a 7,000-metre dive.
What does “Too Clever” mean?It is the 15-point tier for the go-to “obscure” answer that many players pick. It scores only slightly more than the obvious answer.
Why wasn’t my answer accepted? The creator builds answer lists from dictionaries, encyclopedias and other sources. Sometimes a source is missed, so a fair answer may not appear. Generous autocorrect can also match a near-miss to a different accepted answer.
Can I play more than once a day?The daily dive is one attempt. The menu also has Unlimited, an archive of past dailies and themed packs. We did not test those modes.
Is Krillion free?We started the daily dive without paying. The creator says any unlock removes ads across the site. Themed packs were labeled free for now (beta) on October 17, 2026.
Is Krillion the same as One in a Krillion on Steam? No. One in a Krillion on Steam is a separate action game about krill swarms. The trivia game is played on krillion.io.
Does GameHub post daily Krillion answers? No. The answer sets are the creator’s work, and spoilers take away the fun of a one-attempt daily. This guide covers rules and strategy only.
