What is PokéSurvivor?
PokéSurvivor (also written PokeSurvivor or Poke Survivor) is JPTER78’s free, fan-made Pokémon survival game. Choose a partner, face waves of enemies and gain experience to level up. Your active move attacks automatically; positioning and upgrade choices shape the run.
Think of a Pokémon take on the horde-survival formula. This guide covers the original project at pokesurvivor.com, rather than other similarly named Pokémon games or third-party ports.
How to start your first run
Our recorded session used the online guest path. Before investing time in a collection, read the site’s warning: guest progress is not saved.
- 01
Open pokesurvivor.com and choose Play as guest for a quick start. For account features, follow the creator’s current instructions.
- 02
Answer the eight-question personality test. In our session it suggested Scorbunny; your answers may lead to another partner.
- 03
Review your suggested partner and choose Let's go together! to continue. We also saw Choose another, but did not test that selection flow.
- 04
Choose Play on the main menu to enter the map. We reached automatic combat and the first level-up without a download, payment or sign-in.
PokéSurvivor controls on PC and mobile
These inputs come from the creator’s guide. Our session confirmed automatic combat and a level-up screen, not every control or mobile input.
| Action | Input and check scope |
|---|---|
| Move on PC | WASD or the arrow keys. |
| Switch the active move | 1–4, Q/E, or click a move icon. |
| Pause | Esc, according to the creator’s guide. |
| Move on mobile | Hold your device in landscape and drag on the screen; described by the creator, not tested by GameHub. |
| Switch moves on mobile | Tap a move icon; mobile input was not independently checked. |
How attacks and level-up cards work
Your selected move fires automatically. Switching the active move is different from selecting a reward when you level up.
The creator describes three kinds of level-up choices: a new move, an upgrade to a move you already have, or a stat boost. Our first level-up displayed three reward cards, including new moves. We did not complete the reward selection or compare builds.
New move
Add another attack or ability from the choices you are offered.
Move upgrade
Strengthen a move you already have, as described in the creator’s guide.
Stat boost
Improve a stat for the run, according to the creator’s guide.
Guest mode, accounts and saving
The online version explicitly warns that guest progress is not saved. Use guest mode to try the game with that limit in mind.
The creator describes account-based cloud saves. We did not test registration, linking a guest session, cross-device recovery or account multiplayer. Do not assume that an existing guest collection can be transferred.
The downloadable offline edition is described separately as saving in the browser. That statement does not override the online guest warning.
Try as a guest
No account was needed for our short run. Current online guest progress is not saved.
Planning to keep playing?
Read the creator’s account and save instructions before building a collection. Cloud-save recovery was not tested.
Mobile play and online co-op
The creator lists landscape touch controls for phones and tablets, plus online co-op for up to four players with an account. Treat these as project descriptions: our recorded check was a short desktop guest session.
For the current setup and availability, consult the creator’s guide. We have not verified mobile performance, connection reliability, invitations or progress sharing.

Quick answers based on the original project and our limited desktop check on October 13, 2026.
Where can I play PokéSurvivor?
Open pokesurvivor.com, the creator’s original site. GameHub provides this independent guide and links out; the game runs on the creator’s site.
Is PokéSurvivor free?
Its creator describes it as free. Our short desktop guest run required no payment.
Do I need to download PokéSurvivor?
No client download or separate game file was needed for our browser session. You do not need an APK to use the web version.
Do I need an account to start?
No. Play as guest took us through the personality test, partner selection and into the map. Account features were not tested.
Does guest progress save?
The current online login screen and guest menu warn that guest progress is not saved. The creator describes cloud saving with an account, but we did not test account creation or recovery. The downloadable offline version has separate save behavior.
Does my Pokémon attack automatically?
Yes. We observed automatic attacks. The creator’s guide explains that your active move fires automatically while you move and switch moves.
Can I play on mobile or with friends?
The creator describes landscape touch controls and online co-op for up to four players. GameHub has not independently tested mobile play or multiplayer.
Is this an official Pokémon game?
No. JPTER78 identifies PokéSurvivor as a non-profit fan project, independent of Nintendo, GAME FREAK and The Pokémon Company. GameHub is an independent guide, too.

- Choose Play as guest, complete the eight-question personality test and receive Scorbunny as the suggested partner.
- Choose Let's go together!, then Play from the main menu.
- Observe the rendered map, automatic attacks and a timer of 0:19 with six enemies defeated.

The desktop guest game reached the map, automatic combat and the first level-up. Movement inputs alone did not establish responsive movement; a later reward-click attempt timed out with the reward screen still visible. No completed run, boss fight, mobile session, co-op connection or save recovery was tested.
