Official page structure and WASM download confirmed. Third-party guides report nine classes, 1v1/2v2/3v3 queues, Rust/Bevy/WASM/WebGL 2 stack, and guest play. TabGameHub did not enter the lobby, queue, or play a match.
Requirements and unknowns
What is Arena of Champions?
Arena of Champions is a free unofficial browser arena PvP game inspired by World of Warcraft arenas. Play at arenaofchampions.live with guest access; no sign-up required to start. It is a fan project and not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Blizzard Entertainment.
Third-party guides report Warcraft III–style character models, nine classes with one specialization each, and rated 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3 queue modes. Matches are online-only; a stable connection is required.
TabGameHub links to the game's own page. We did not enter the lobby, queue or play a match, so gameplay claims here come from third-party tests (portedgames, playgamesinbrowser, wowarenabrowser) and the official page structure we observed on November 3, 2026.
How to play Arena of Champions in your browser
These steps follow third-party guides and our page check.
- Open arenaofchampions.live on desktop Chrome or Edge with hardware acceleration enabled.
- Wait through the Loading… screen. On first visit, the browser downloads about 45–46 MB of WebAssembly and other assets. Guides report 10 to 30+ seconds for this step; slower connections take longer.
- Choose Play as Guest for immediate access, or create an email/password account for ranked leaderboards.
- Select your class and queue for 1v1, 2v2 or 3v3. Guides recommend starting with 1v1 to learn your kit.
- If connection ping is high, the game may suggest downloading the optional Windows app from arenaofchampions.live.
Which site is the real Arena of Champions?
Only arenaofchampions.live is the official game client. arenaofchampions.com is a parked domain (unrelated). arenaofchampions.games is a third-party marketing site, not the game.
Search results for arena of champions also surface unrelated products: a Genshin Impact card game, Last Flesh arena modes, and Free Fire events. Check the URL carefully.
The optional Windows app is only available from arenaofchampions.live. Do not download executables from other domains.
1v1, 2v2 and 3v3 queues
Third-party guides that reached the lobby list three rated queue brackets: 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3. Rating starts at 1,500 per bracket. Between matches, players return to a shared town lobby with chat and friends list.
Guides recommend 1v1 for learning your class kit, then moving to team modes. High ping or unstable connections can trigger a suggestion to use the Windows app instead of the browser client.
Classes and specs (as reported)
Third-party guides that inspected the UI list nine classes, one specialization each. The table below is their reported roster; trust the live game if it differs.
Browser, download size, Windows app
Third-party tests report Rust and Bevy compiled to WebAssembly with WebGL 2 rendering. We have not independently confirmed the engine string. WebGPU is not an established requirement.
The main WASM file (aoc_client_bg.wasm) was 46,231,587 bytes (about 46.2 MB) on November 3, 2026. Total download including other assets is larger. First-load times vary by connection speed; guides report 10 to 30+ seconds.
Hardware acceleration must be enabled in your browser settings. Phones are not confirmed; guides tested keyboard and mouse on desktop only.
An optional Windows client is available from arenaofchampions.live for players with high ping in the browser version. We did not test the Windows app.
Stuck on Loading… or CompileError
If the page stays on Loading… for minutes, wait and refresh once. Do not open multiple tabs; that forces the browser to download the WASM file in parallel.
CompileError or similar exceptions usually mean the WASM download was incomplete. Close the tab, clear your browser cache, and reload.
Check that hardware acceleration is on in your browser's system settings. Software rendering may fail or run too slowly.
Use a current version of Chrome or Edge. Other browsers are not confirmed by guides.
If ping is consistently high or the connection drops, the game may suggest the Windows app. Download it only from arenaofchampions.live.
Arena of Champions vs Azeroth Survivors (and other browser WoW games)
Arena of Champions is arena PvP; Azeroth Survivors is a survivors-style (Vampire Survivors–like) browser game with Warcraft theming. See our Azeroth Survivors page for that game.
Other browser experiments exist (some guides mention WebWoW and similar projects), but we have not verified or play-tested them. Focus on the .live domain for Arena of Champions.
Is it official, safe and legal?
Arena of Champions is a fan project. It uses Blizzard's intellectual property (character names, art, lore) without official endorsement. Blizzard Entertainment holds the rights to World of Warcraft and Warcraft III assets.
Guest play is free according to third-party guides. Never enter your Battle.net account credentials on any unofficial site. TabGameHub does not host game files; we link to the project's own page.
The legal status of fan projects using commercial IP varies by jurisdiction and rightholder enforcement. This page is informational; we make no legal or safety guarantee.
